We’re honored to share that Baker Design Group has been named the winner of Vickerman’s National 2025 Design Contest for Best Residential Christmas Design. This award-winning residential Christmas design recognizes not only the beauty of the finished home, but the care, creativity, and collaboration behind every detail.
The winning residence—located in an architecturally significant enclave of Upper North Dallas—was designed to honor the home’s traditional finishes and timeless character while elevating each space through thoughtful storytelling. From room to room, the design reflects a deep commitment to balance, craftsmanship, and cohesion, creating a holiday experience that feels both elevated and deeply personal.

An Award-Winning Residential Christmas Design Rooted in First Impressions
At the heart of the home sits the Grand Entry Foyer—a true showstopper inspired by classic Ralph Lauren sensibilities. Rich blue ornamentation, heirloom nutcrackers, layered garlands, and a commanding Christmas tree create a first impression designed to stop guests in their tracks—and welcome them in with warmth and wonder.
Every design decision was made to complement the home’s architecture while delivering a sense of presence and intentionality that defines an award-winning residential Christmas design.
A Client Experience Defined by Trust, Ease, and Joy
For homeowner Nancy Anderson, the journey with Baker Design Group began years ago through a family recommendation.
“I actually found Baker Design Group through my sister-in-law. She had used them for one year and really loved how easy everything was—and how beautiful and impressive it was.”
That ease quickly became a defining part of the experience.
“They swoop in like the Christmas fairies. Everything is put together so quickly, the empty boxes are gone, and you’d never believe they were just installing that day.”
Beyond speed and efficiency, Nancy points to peace of mind.
“Having Baker Design Group has very much alleviated the stress for me. Even the takedown—sometimes I’m not even here. They know my home, they know where everything goes, they label and store everything.”

Design That Honors the Home—and the People in It
Nancy credits the BDG team not just for the finished result, but for how seamlessly the design reflects her home and her family.
“It’s not something you can put together yourself. You just can’t find the pieces they have. Their eye for design has been flawless. They honor my home, the style that was already there, and my family.”
That philosophy—honoring what exists while elevating it—is central to every award-winning residential Christmas design created by Baker Design Group.
As Founder and CEO Linda Baker explains:
“When the process starts, everything is done as a complete unit. It’s very custom. We do not repeat anything from one client to another.”

More Than Decoration: A Purpose-Driven Christmas Design
For Baker Design Group, Christmas design is about far more than ornamentation.
“We view what we bring into the home as a blessing,” Linda shares. “Christmas is about celebrating the light of the world. While we love the beauty, we always know where the celebration comes from.”
That purpose carries through every step—from concept and installation to takedown and storage—ensuring each award-winning residential Christmas design delivers joy long after the season ends.
