Linda Baker

President

Linda Baker is an Award-Winning Dallas Interior Designer known for her passionate approach to life, relationships, and design. With over 30 years of experience in the design industry, Linda and her team are known in Dallas for their custom high-end design in residential and commercial properties while creating a comfortable environment for all to enjoy. Stunning design, residentially and commercially, has garnered her firm to win repeatedly in Dallas and Texas with over 50 Awards in the past ten years.

Her past career in radio sales in sales and marketing in Houston was a significant highlight: Linda’s excellent marketing skills and the delight of strong client relationships that have served her well. Linda’s career spanned over 12 years and served as President of American Women in Radio and TV.  Her broadcasting career includes KODA, KIKK, and KTRH.  Linda’s career included selling and marketing all three Houston Sports Franchises: The Oilers, The Astros, and The Rockets. Linda took a few years off after a significant shift due to her young family to re-evaluate her next career steps. She began an extensive construction process on one of her homes, which needed much love and attention, and her love of interior design blossomed into her next career. That concise period allowed Linda to spend time with my children and ramp up more practically.

Her enthusiasm for her profession is reflected in her ability to help clients achieve their goals. She combines her passionate approach to life with her remarkable design talent. It gives her great pleasure to see clients embrace their newly designed spaces and see how their designs impact their environment. Baker Design Group has received numerous Dallas and IDS, Texas, and Dallas ASID and DHome awards over the past several years.  Linda served on the National Board of IDS, Interior Design Society, and was two-term President of the Dallas Chapter of IDS. Also has been a member of ASID.  Linda feels incredible blessings and privilege to have another career that still makes her heart sing!  Her passion for her staff, vendors, and clients has been clearly the gift of a career that she will always consider one of the greatest gifts in her life. No two days are ever the same, and she lives to thrive on change and challenges, knowing the best days are yet to come.

Heather brings her business expertise to Baker Design Group from the television, radio, and retail industries. While earning her Bachelor’s in Communication from Texas A&M University, she developed her business acumen in various roles before joining Zale Corporation as an Assistant Buyer. She was quickly promoted to Merchandise Planner for the colored stone and pearl division, where she handled store allocations and financial planning.

In 2007, Heather brought her experience in business development, planning, and marketing to Baker Design Group, where she has played a key role in the company’s growth. For the past 18 years, Heather has worked closely alongside Linda in expanding Baker Design Group’s corporate and residential interior design services while also developing and managing the Construction and Seasonal Department. She has been instrumental in launching BDG Construction, recognizing the increasing need for quality craftsmanship and design expertise in the construction industry. Leading BDG Construction allows her to combine her passion for design with her strategic approach to business development across all four arms of Baker Design Group.

In 2023, Heather’s creativity and vision were nationally recognized when she stepped away from her everyday role to take on a special project—designing her own vacation rental. The result was a three-time national award-winning design, a testament to her ability to merge function, style, and innovation.

Beyond her professional achievements, Heather is happiest spending time with her favorite person—her husband and their three beautiful daughters. Most weekends are filled with watching their girls dance and play soccer, but when they’re not on the sidelines, Heather and her husband enjoy working on fun projects around the house and watching all things sports together.

Lead Floral Designer

Libby is a North Texas native, who grew up in the Park Cities area. She loves all things nature and art, and has been working on a career that ties the two together since her teenage years. After earning her BFA with honors from TWU, Libby was a residential project manager with Bethel Studio. She then ventured out on her own by producing commissioned artwork and fine decorative finishes for many luxury residences. Fresh florals were always a passion throughout the years and after a decade, she finally joined the field professionally and jumped into faux botanicals! The sculptural aspect of the silk flowers, along with creating lively additions to arrangements has been a natural fit for Libby. With a wealth of knowledge in the floral industry and art, she is a bit of a style chameleon, and enjoys producing pieces that reflect the setting they will inhabit. Libby continues to add special decorative touches to Dallas homes throughout her botanicals and she looks forward to creating custom floral arrangements!
