Ventana by Bucker, Dallas’ only luxury high-rise senior living community, is a distinctive continuing care retirement community providing a full complement of services, amenities, and health and wellness programs. Serving the Dallas area, Ventana attracts a vibrant population of people who share an appreciation for living well and a passion for doing good. With twenty-six distinctive independent living floor plans, three dining venues, a 12th floor Member Sky Lounge, a Grand Hall, salon and spa, modern wellness and fitness centers, on-site rehab center and a garden terrace, Baker Design Group was approached to create the building’s first Christmas for their newly-settled residents.
With an impeccable eye for design, each room was designed differently but with coordinated Christmas themes in mind. Walk into Ventana and you’ll immediately be met with warmth, unrivaled hospitality and luxury that graces every room. For this project, we were able to come alongside both the classic and elegant elements already present and capture them even further in Christmas.
From the outside entrance, guests were welcomed with two custom-clustered ornament floor displays in gold fiberglass urns and through the main lobby to a stunning 10-foot Brighton Spruced lightly flocked tree with navy blue, gold, platinum and titanium ornamentation, sparkle stems, ribbon, florals and a custom tree skirt.
Residents and their guests were also treated to stunning, custom boutique arrangements throughout the multiple seating areas in the lobby. Prancing gold deer coffee table pieces were built on Styrofoam with light ornamentation and a beautiful 90″ custom design topiary matched the lobby tree. We love the richness gold and navy provide on top of a bed of green.
The Grand Hall features special guests and conferences for their residents and our Dallas Christmas Designers knew this was a room where we needed to make a bold statement. With two 10-foot lightly flocked trees decorated with light blues, rich browns and golds and a back wall with two sets of architectural lit arrangements in platinum and white containers, residents would surely enjoy a special Christmas theme.
Through the lobby, the Health Services Concierge greeted guests with smiling faces and a continued Christmas design. This area featured a sleek gold urn with an ornament pave design at the base with long green pine, two 76″ lit tree topiaries with ornamentation, and two custom birch branch arrangements for the back of the reception counter.
The first floor Skilled Nursing Short-Term Rehab adorned guests with mint, platinum’s, copper, light gold and touches of deep teal. With only one tree, Baker Design Group made sure to fully decorate the 8.5-foot tree with ornamentation, sparkle stems, ribbon, florals and a custom tree skirt.
The designs in the Skilled Nursing and Rehab on the second floor matched the existing decor with mint, platinum’s, copper, light gold and touches of deep teal. This special 8.5-foot soft white LED Cashmere tree was decorated and accompanied by a double-sided deer and tree arrangement above the dining room area fireplace.
Across the hall, the Skilled Nursing center featured hints of mint, light gold and a rose gold design palette on the 8.5-foot soft white LED Cashmere tree and a stunning sofa table arrangement. Clusters of rich green and blue sparkles with a base of pine and ornamentation completed the space beautifully.
The Assisted Living on the second floor was a favorite by all. The soft blues in the existing decor created such a calming effect. Our Dallas Christmas Designers used gray, platinum and light gold for a one-of-a-kind Christmas design. A 9-foot soft white LED frosted tree with a 61″ base was fully designed with ornamentation, sparkle stems, ribbon, florals and a custom tree skirt.
One floor up, a smaller dining area with the same color scheme featured a 90″ long lightly frosted garland on the fireplace mantle. And a credenza arrangement with soft white and gold trees covered in pine fusion, blue florals and long feathered gold ferns would catch all the attention.
On the fourth floor in the Common Area, also known as the “Husband Waiting Area”, two 9-foot Snowcrest lighty flocked soft white LED lit trim trees were beautifully designed with ornamentation, sparkle stems, ribbon, florals and a custom tree skirt.
Lastly, the special Memory Care on level 5 offered garden views with a nostalgic vintage-themed Christmas concept throughout the common area. A kind and warm end to a stunning Christmas project!
