We are never truly done with Christmas here at Baker Design Group, but we enjoyed a much needed rest between our last design of install and our first take down! We thought this would be the perfect time to share some of our favorite fireplace trends that we introduced this year.
One of our favorite Christmas mood-setters at Baker Design Group is to turn on the twinkle lights at night and cuddle up by the fireplace with our family and loved ones for holiday movies. We all know the fireplace is an important central theme in the legend of Santa Clause. Not only does the jolly man use the fireplace chimney to deliver all the toys, but the fireplace mantle is where all the stockings are hung. It’s also often decorated with beautiful ornaments or extravagant garlands.
However, the fireplace isn’t just important for Santa or decorations. It is also an important symbol throughout the holidays for warmth and as a gathering place for the family. It represents the spirit of giving, of compassion, of acceptance, of presence and presents, a place where we dream of peace and remember the months and years that have past. It helps create memorable moments and being present with the ones we love the most.
There is simply no substitute for a home’s fireplace. Follow along as Baker Design Group shares our favorite Christmas designs from this past year!To get this look, Baker Design Group starts with soft white LED cedar garland. Our designers nestle large, frosted pine cones, ornamentation, swoops of festive ribbon and a variety of greenery. Adding height and freshness with pops of florals and natural succulents is always a nice way to add accent pieces.
‘Tis the season to be creative and bring the fun to your decor! Try reindeer and frosted elements with lit branches to bring the eye to your mantle. Mix and match your stockings, add large swoops of ribbon, and sparkles for that extra touch.
