This LOOK WE LOVE: FROSTED NATURALS, features:
Touches of classic holiday decor ingredients (Pine Cones, Berries, and Cedar)
+ Greenery we love throughout the year for indoors and out (Succulents, Decorative Kale, Grasses, and Ferns),
and then graces them all with a frosted coat, almost as if we lived in a place that might coat your garden with a dusting of snow.
The result is an elegant and easy transition from everyday style to Christmas magic.
Do you love your natural, “gardenesque” look that can be played up during the spring and summer months? Natural, easy-going style doesn’t have to be traded in for something else for the holidays. While a contrast and total change-up for Christmas is a dramatic transformation (which we adore), we are also totally for catering your holiday style to the everyday decor of your home.
So, this post goes out to the natural-look loving homeowners. When we saw this frosted garden look at Christmas Market at the Dallas Market Center in January 2017, we knew the product designers had captured a trend.
This wooden sleigh decked out to its brim in a wintery garden wonderland is our favorite. We love the mix of succulents, ferns, cedar, frosted grasses, and frosted sticks to give height and utilize negative space to make this an oversized, elegant statement.
The drama of the trailing succulents down from this wreath is definitely a look we hope to recreate for a client or clients this year. The draping is the eye-catcher, but don’t miss the succulent mix, pine cones, and glittery frosted cedar that fills out the body of the wreath.
Pictured above are two more lovely designs with draping and a mix of botanicals. We love that these look like arrangements that could be used year-round and feature the popular succulent-grasses style as well as a more romantic, formal look in the second photo created using spray roses and berries.
Continue your carry-over of every day to Christmas by putting an orchid into a mercury glass container to evoke a vintage Christmas feel.
Last but not least for your Dallas Christmas interior design, incorporate a frosted tree. The potted topiary frosted trees are a fesh spin on a Christmas touch for your entryway or front porch, while a full-on frosted Christmas tree as your main tree really makes a statement.
