In the next few months at Baker Design Group, it will begin to feel a lot like Christmas.
As temperatures rise in Dallas, we’ll soon enjoy the benefits, but also start reaping the effects of our triple digit summers. On the upside, we will be able to once-and-for-all tuck back winter clothing in our closets (springtime cold snaps can confuse), but on the downside, the grass-is-greener syndrome will set in. “When can we finally escape this heat? many of us will wonder.” “I’m so ready to remember what it feels like to be cold!”
But being Christmas Interior Decorators, we don’t mind that the heat of the Dallas summer brings winter and Christmas to mind for some.
We received one of our first calls recently to schedule a consultation for Christmas decor. In the next few months, as the temperature rises, it will be beginning to feel a lot like Christmas at Baker Design Group.
While some of you may soon be wishing away the summer’s heat, the staff at Baker Design Group will soon be in the midst of Christmas planning. It started in January at the Dallas Market, where our almost our entire staff took photos, walked through many showrooms, and then decided the best items to purchase for the coming Christmas. Once the orders were placed, the receiving is left to Karen, who manages and oversees our entire BDG warehouse. She works alongside our interior designers and vendors to make sure all items are arriving on time and are in perfect condition so each install is prepared and runs smoothly, as well as manages our Christmas Install Crews.
Shipments from the January Dallas Market of Christmas 2016 trends will begin to arrive, leaving Karen to transform our Christmas warehouse from sparse leftovers to a space that resembles the North Pole. The number of trees, accessories from glamorous to woodsy, ornamentation, ribbon, greenery, and florals coming in is so exciting. Our floral designers are at the beginning of a very busy, creative season with the new product arriving. Todd is in his “workshop” this week already making tabletop arrangements inspired by bringing together many ideas from the January Dallas Market.
